The TURN Festival - Transforming Urban Neighborhoods, is a one-day educational event presented by Paramount School, in partnership with Community Health Network, focused on urban farming, food, the environment and health.
Held on the grounds of Paramount School of Excellence, the Festival is a natural outgrowth of the work being done at the school in urban farming, ecology, green initiatives and community outreach. Activities that are planned are workshops, demonstrations, information booths, a children’s area and food vendors. The agenda includes sessions on urban homesteading and farming, food preservation, healthy cooking and lifestyle.
Any proceeds from the Festival will benefit Paramount's urban farm, environmental education and summer S.T.E.A.M (Success Through Education Agriculture and Mentoring) programs.
